Travel Fitness

While traveling the country fulltime in a RV allows me to do kettlebell workouts in some pretty amazing locations like on the top of a mountain in Yosemite or next to the aquamarine waters in the Florida Keys, most of my workouts take place in less “magical locations” like Texas Longhorn pastures.

Since I no longer have a gym membership or a garage gym, most of the time I’m dealing with the weather, bugs, or dirt. Not only that I don’t always use just kettlebells.

A heavy rope and kettlebell workout in New Jersey.

I love working with my heavy rope almost as much as I do kettlebells.

I also use the picnic tables a lot.

Brent rocking some double kettlebell swings in Massachusetts.

Working on my double single leg deadlifts. Yes, I occasionally workout flip flips.

I typically don’t take pictures of all my workouts but I want to remember every detail of our travels so I’m going to start regularly sharing all the places I workout even the grubby ones. It will also help me stay accountable because sometimes travel and fitness are hard to merge. Most of all thought, this is such an amazing time  in my life and I don’t want to forget a single minute or…workout.

Hugs and High Fives,
Jenn

I'm so happy you stopped by my little corner of the web where I write about fitness, food, and amazing women I "meet". I live in California with my wonderful husband and two rambunctious boys. I'm a personal trainer and dreamer. I enjoy most things but some of my favorites are reading, acting, camping, cooking, music, writing, traveling, and being in the moment with my favorite people! You can read more about me here! I hope you stop by often!

Where did you get your rope? And what do you do with it exactly? I have been curious about that

Ropes are FUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNn. We’re about to go to visit my family in Sweden- there might be a gym but probably no time. Then we’ll be on a river boat- NO GYM THERE! and such tiny quarters I’m not even considering bringing my Jungle Gym. Think it’s gonna be bodyweight exercises and my jumprope. You’re looking great- your arms look amazing in those rope shots.

Thank!! It’s just the action of the ropes and the lighting. My arms are actually a little fluffier than normal. Oh well. 😉

I just found your website and I just wanted to say that I absolutely love it. Most personal trainers never provide their certification. And all ACSM certification is fairly comprehensive. Along with NSCA, ACSM is the gold standard so kudos on providing good quality accurate information for the public! And I love the idea of traveling the country and enjoying all aspects of life. :-)

Thank you for stopping by. It took me a while to study and pass my ACSM test but I’m glad I did. We LOVE traveling. It’s going to be hard to stop. :-)

Your welcome, it’s a inspiring life/blog, very motivational to follow :-). Yes I know the test was hard. I wanted to commend you on it because not everyone understands the complexity or the value of your certification. Kudos and I wish you the best in your travels! :-)
