Winter Workout

Hope you had a good President’s Day weekend.  We went to the snow and I threw about 5000 snowballs and trekked up a hillside carrying an inner tube.  I hope I burned a lot of calories because I consumed a lot of calories. Oooops.  Whenever I could I pretended like I was a some sort of Judo master and tried to throw down my husband in the snow.  He thought I was just being playful but I was really trying to get some exercise.  He’s stronger than me (duh) so I got a pretty good workout.  I’ve been living in southern California for a a while now and I had forgotten how fun the snow can be.  Now, I’m back to my routine.  I only have 10 more days of my gym membership left until I’m in my garage gym.  Since I have access to the machines and I’m paying for them, I’m using them. Here was my workout for today.

A. Seated Row - Drop Sets: 10 reps 1st set, 8 reps 2nd set, 6 reps 3rd set (Add weight with each set.  Your goals is to make rep 6 of your 3rd set HARD…the last rep you could do)
B. Jump Squats with Barbell – 3 sets of 20

Perform A-B back to back with no rest.  Then rest 1-2 minutes before repeating.

A. Assisted Pull Ups – 3 sets of 6 (Rep 6 being hard if not impossible.  I only got 5 reps on my last set.)
B.  Assisted Dips - 3 sets of 6

Perform A-B back to back with no rest.  Then rest 1-2 minutes before repeating.

A. Hamstring Curls – Drop Sets: 10 reps 1st set, 8 reps 2nd set, 6 reps 3rd set (Add weight with each set.  Your goals is to make rep 6 of your 3rd set HARD…the last rep you could do) Okay I actually don’t think these are awesome b/c they are isolated movements but I like them so I do them.
B. Bench Press - Drop Sets: 10 reps 1st set, 8 reps 2nd set, 6 reps 3rd set (Add weight with each set.  Your goals is to make rep 6 of your 3rd set HARD…the last rep you could do)

Perform A-B back to back with no rest.  Then rest 1-2 minutes before repeating.

10 minutes of HIIT on stepmill.  One minute at level 4 alternating with one minute at level 4.  Stretching. It took me about 45 minutes.

Have a fantastic day everyone.

xoxo
