Girl Heroes, Musings Previous Next

Thank You, My Girl-Heroes.

I’ve missed you and I’ve missed blogging.

I thought Thanksgiving would be a perfect day to get back to blogging.  There’s nothing like eating 4000 calories then sitting down at my laptop to pontificate on and on about the importance of sane meals.  😉  Seriously, I was thinking about all I have to be thankful for and near the top of my list is health.  There are so many who are not as fortunate.  There are so many who need encouragement.  I know.  I was one of them.  Still, I need a daily dose of encouragement.  I loved writing Competing to Lose but as time went on, unlike The Braxtons, I didn’t really feel like it was fitting anymore.  I have never wanted to be a “figure competitor”. I just wanted my health and flat stomach back. Preparing for the figure competitions helped to get me moving and kept me mostly out of the peanut butter. The competitions were a means to an end and a valuable journey.  One I hope to take again in the future. Thinking back over the last year I realize I never would have accomplished my goals without all the Girl-Heroes in my life.  The texts, the emails, the comments, the blogs, the message boards, the hugs (cyber and real)…there are SO MANY women who have inspired and encouraged me on my journey.  So I decided to name my blog after you my “Girl-Heroes”. Some of you know who you are and others I’ve never met but all of you have inspired me and inspire others.  I’ve learned that to make a difference in our lives and the lives of others we need each other.  We need each other for support, for learning, for inspiration, for accountability, and for a loving kick in the butt.  Thank you.  Thank for the motivation, the friendship, the encouragement, and making the choice to live a life of inspiration.  Thank you for changing my world by choosing health.

There are still a few tweaks to work out, some features, and tools to add.  Please bear with me.  If you just found my blog.  WELCOME!   If you would like to receive Girl-Heroes updates in your inbox there is a sign up box on the right.

Thank you husband for the new site and for your patience.   Thank you Kevin and Casson for the new logo.  Thank YOU for your readership.

I’m looking forward to reconnecting.

Happy Thanksgiving!

xoxo

I'm so happy you stopped by my little corner of the web where I write about fitness, food, and amazing women I "meet". I live in California with my wonderful husband and two rambunctious boys. I'm a personal trainer and dreamer. I enjoy most things but some of my favorites are reading, acting, camping, cooking, music, writing, traveling, and being in the moment with my favorite people! You can read more about me here! I hope you stop by often!

      Awww thanks!!!

Yeah I’m not sure about those ads? There was something else really weird earlier. I think the “sequoia” post brought them up. We still have quite of bit of tweaking to do but I figured I could just start with what we have or keep putting it off.
