Fluffy Friday : I need help!!!

jennkickchips

The other day I walked to the grocery store and while searching for the spices through the mecca of transfats and sugar I ran into a huge chip display.  Seriously, I’m talking the Arc de Triumph of chips.  I stopped and stared for a moment at the 8th wonder of the modern world and then suddenly felt an inexplicable rage.  I squinted, inhaled, and  imagined sprinting full speed ahead ramming my cart thorough the blockade. Chips flying through the air like debris in an explosion.  The salt sprinkling down like snowflakes settling on the tiled floor.  Then I realized that after my moment of serving justice, I’d probably sit down and have a few bags of BBQ Lays  while I waited for the white jackets to come and haul me off to the looney bin.

And I thought I had worked through my anger issues…

Have a wonderful weekend.

Hugs and High Fives,
jenn

I'm so happy you stopped by my little corner of the web where I write about fitness, food, and amazing women I "meet". I live in California with my wonderful husband and two rambunctious boys. I'm a personal trainer and dreamer. I enjoy most things but some of my favorites are reading, acting, camping, cooking, music, writing, traveling, and being in the moment with my favorite people! You can read more about me here! I hope you stop by often!

:) We had BBQ Lays last weekend for a free meal with our burgers— you really can’t eat just one! Glad the white coat guys did not take you away!

  1. REAL vs. REALality. | Girl Heroes - March 5, 2010

[…] However, I found the title of the CNN article, “An Inconvenient Challenge: Eat “Real Rood” For a Month” misleading. It should have said eat “Traditionally Prepared Food for a Month” because if you are using traditional methods of preparation you have no choice but for your food to be real. You can’t sprout Cheerios. Not only was the title of article misleading I feel like it was somewhat irresponsible.  Why?  The majority of Americans are struggling to make some simple changes such as not eating out every night of the week or switching from white to wheat. Then when these Americans read “Eat Real Food”, they scroll down with hope only to find out they must make their own lard and grind their own grains if they want to be healthy.   Suddenly, for some, eating “real food”becomes more than a challenge, it becomes impossible and they give up before they even begin.  I’ve been reading and trying various methods of traditional food preparation for years and even I felt a little overwhelmed reading it. Then again, I have issues. […]
