Oooops

Day 3

I did something I said I wouldn’t do. I stepped on Evil Scale before the scheduled day. Good news I was a half a pound lighter. But this won’t be the case everyday because weight fluctuates daily.  So I need to keep the promises I’ve made to myself. I made them so I’d lose AND to take care of myself.

Speaking of promises I made a new one already.  NO glute flexing in the mirror. Unflexed my butt looks almost round, full, and relatively smooth. But flexed it looks like the surface of the moon hit with millions of meteorite showers. What am I thinking? How am I going to get on that stage in a swimsuit with a bottom the size of a sliver of pie? Scary. Well I’m not competeing to win but to lose, so as long as I have lost the weight I’ll just “forget” to flex my butt if I’m supposed too.

Speaking of competing, I talked to a friend yesterday who competes. I asked her if it was totally unrealistic to give this a try without a trainer. She said she didn’t think so, I’d just have to be commited. Commited. Yeah wouldn’t every exercise and diet plan work if I was committed? This is why I’m decided to set a date and stand on a stage in a little bitty sort of swimsuit thingy. Anyway I hung up the phone feeling encouraged and even a little excited. Not excited about getting up on stage but excited about setting a goal and sticking it out. Okay, I AM really excited about the possibility of fitting into a size 4!

The gym seemed a bit like a chore today but that’s only because I had to go home to get a hair band because I forgot one. After grabbing the hair band, I decided I HAD to check my email before I left. It took me 2.5 hours to read my email and research cities I might want to move to.  An almost complete waste of time since we aren’t moving any time soon.  I finally did get my butt out the door and once I got started working out it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be, in fact, it was fun even though it was leg day.

Hugs and High Fives
Jenn
