Windex.
It has been one of “those weeks”. I’ve felt stuck in tiny room with one only one window that’s covered thick with grime.
I know there is a beautiful world out there but my Windex bottle is empty. Dammit.
I could ramble and muse on (and on and on) about my feelings but, honestly, it’s rather tiresome. Instead, I’m choosing to think about the things for which I’m grateful. Things like family, sunsets, handmade quilts, and kettlebells. Here are some happy pictures from last week’s trip to Arizona.
At the Chinese Cultural Center with two young men (whose wierdo mother insists on matching outfits despite the older turning 10 next week).
Exploring the Asian grocery.
Loved looking through the freezer. I’ll spare you the fresh fish counter.
The Koi pond. (Don’t worry this fish has nothing to do with the market.)
Meeting up with Averie and Madeline.
Digital exhibit at the Arizona Science Center.
GG and I under my new “handmade by gram” Amy Butler quilt. I LOVE it! Thank you Gram!
Meow Cow worried that daddy got lost in Starbucks.
“His and hers” kettlebells (and nunchucks) stashed under the seat.
300 kettlebell swings at the rest stop.
100 more at Cabazon. That’s me by the back leg.
Every time I go into “the bronto” I always wish I could live in it.
I would be fun (and good exercise) to hang a ladder or a rope from his nostril so I could climb up and slide down his throat into my bed.
Anyone else love the dinosaur scene in Pee Wee’s Big Adventure?
Found the perfect place for some split squats.
I think this is my first Saturday post ever. I know there wasn’t much about food or fitness.
I just wanted to say hi and let you know I’ve been thinking of you. Really I have.
I never expected blogging to become such an important part of my life.
Now it’s time to go clean that window.
Hugs and High Fives,
Jenn
nice to read your post and catch up with you on your week! love the kb photos of you! and your boys with matching outfits!
I hope things start looking up.
Love the pics from your trip, you are indeed blessed.
Look s like it was a fun trip! Tell your gram I love the blanket! Amy Butler makes such great fabric!
It does look like a great trip! And oh how I am drooling over that Amy Butler quilt – absolutely fab!
Thinking of you too xoxo
love the quilt…don’t invite me over, I might get sticky fingers!!! and the his and hers kettlebells…wish my hubbo would kb with me!!
Kettlebells are my all time favorite way of working out. I’ve lost so much weight (48 pounds!) and toned up like a model.
Bahahah! Love the tiny figure by the rear leg of the bronto- look really close, squint (because I KNOW I need glasses) and realize it’s buddy Jenn swinging her KBs like a mad woman!! Love it. Then the closeup doing swings under his head- I laughed on those photos- Brent’s got a great eye for that stuff!
And love the rest of the photos- wow hello!?! Gram could be MOm?? So young! And the quilt- goodness how much time and love it took to make that! Fabo.
Well, sounds like you need some cheering up- let me know if you’re up for a sunset KB-on-the-beach meetup this week. hugs.
Whoops, didn’t mean sunset- I meant sun-rise!!
Looks like you had a great time! I love that you brought your kbs. I also love that you match your boys! I still do that sometimes and it always makes me smile. If they complain I just tell them it’s easier to find them if one of them gets lost. I can just show the security guard his brother and say “looks just like this one!”
I seem to have a feeling that you’ve been dreaming up ways to take some cool pics with the dino for a long time now. Maybe next time you can take some pics on a really cool bicycle next to the T-rex. That is a good picture of you and Grams. Au Revoir Jenni … Au Revoir!
