Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar has been used for centuries to promote general health. It is one of the things I incorporate into my diet daily. When looking for apple cider vinegar, always buy Raw Organic Apple Cider with “The Mother”. The mother is the cloudy residue that you see floating in the bottle. It contains the powerful enzymes. Although not pretty to look that is this the part that is really good for you. Bragg’s is a good brand that you can find in almost any grocery store. There is evidence that apple cider vinegars offers a bunch of benefits with virtually no negative side effects.

Here are some of the benefits associated with Apple Cider Vinegar
Rich in vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and amino acids.
Helps control glucose levels
May help aid in weight loss
Helps the body detoxify itself
Research suggests that it may helps prevent certain types of diseases
Promotes digestion
It is anti-bacterial and anti-fungal
Fight allergies
Balances high cholesterol
Helps joint function
Helps maintain acid-alkaline balance in the body

This is just a partial list of the believed benefits of apple cider vinegar, the things I have seen listed over and over. Some people have lists of 50 or more benefits apple cider vinegar but I decided to be conservative.

It’s probably best to drink with water because it can damage the enamel on your teeth over time. I also use it in salad dressings or on raw tomatoes and cucumbers with sea salt for a tasty side dish. To be honest, the taste may be a little strong for some people. If so try putting it in some tea with honey or in some juice. Cheers – to apple cider vinegar and health!

    Jenn:

We use Bragg’s, too! In fact, it’s a necessary part of David’s diet. I, however, seem to run a bit on the acidic side and was wondering if you’ve been testing your pH. After all this is done you might be interested in checking out the relation between acidity and high choleresterol/clogged arteries. If David’s right, being too acidic is the only reason we ever need to worry about high cholesterol. I’m sure it’s an overall thing and easily reversible.

You know I just heard about testing your pH. No I haven’t done it. I’d love to know more about it though.
