Hey there Rosie!

WOW!!! I'm impressed! I can't believe you stuck to your diet for as long as you did while in Australia!! Can I have some of that will power....PLEASE!!!! :) You did the right thing eating the Thai woman's meal. I love Thai food and that sounds like a really cool experience. Thanks for sharing.

You're so right. The mental and internal changes can be really intense while prepping. Honestly, I wasn't expecting this part. It has become so much more than a quest to look lean and tight on stage.

BTW, I've checked out your photos on SP and you look FANTASTIC!!!

Hi Jenni

I can relate how big of a deal not sticking to the competition diet can be. I went on vacation for 2 weeks in Australia when I was 8 weeks out. I had the vacation planned before I had decided to compete. I took my cooler, tupperware, measuring cups and food scale with me determined to stick 100% to my diet, stayed at a place with a kitchen, etc, dragged my cooler around all over Sydney. Mainly I was going there to work out at Ms Olympia Jenn Hendershott's workshop but i had a whole 10 days I wasn't around competition minded people. I skipped all the Aussie goodies (they have the best pastries and restuarants in Sydney). On one of my last days I met a Thai woman at the hostel and before I had time to explain my competition diet, she had cooked me Thai food especially for me. She even went all over Sydney to Thai restaurants gathering ingredients! I was 7 weeks out and probably not a big deal but it was my first comp prep and I stuck to the diet 100% until then. So I ate Thai Phad Thai noodles ...I couldn't turn down her hospitality...I felt really bad about it.

It's more about the mental and internal changes we go through doing this, and you seem to really have a deep awareness of this. It's been 10 days since my last comp. I've gained back 4 pounds, but getting nice comments from people who saw me right before the show. They all say I look better now, I was too skinny, but on stage you can't have any "healthy" muffin tops hanging over your bikini bottoms! I feels strange being able to eat a variety of foods.

Anyway, good luck, you are getting closer and closer!!
